We have had a busy beginner table at our recent guild meetings. Visitors and members have worked on projects ranging from the first lesson (which introduces cloth stitch, whole stitch, and half stitch), to the tape lace mouse, and finally the seahorse, which incorporates all the new skills that have been learned.

Our more experienced bobbin lacemakers have also been learning new skills during the Lace Marathon presented by the Lace Museum and an in-person Milanese Lace class for our guild taught by Louise Colgan.
During the summer our members will be demonstrating lacemaking at some of the local fairs. Please stop by to see a display of our work, watch lace being made, and perhaps even make some yourself. We're still finalizing some dates and times but will be at the following fairs:
Kitsap County Fair in Bremerton from Wednesday, August 20 through Sunday, August 24, 10am to 3pm
Evergreen State Fair in Monroe for All Lace Day on Sunday, August 24, 10am to 6pm
Washington State Fair in Puyallup on Sunday, September 14, 9:30am to 7:30pm
